Name: Gavin James Adams. Given that it means White hawk, holder of the heel and supplanter, son of the earth, I hardly need another one, do I?

Nickname{s}: Hmm, others have included, Gav, Herbert, Wullie, Wull, Spud, and hairyscotsman. My other alter egos include Lossefion (my name in Quenya), thepictsie, and Saul Cooper (my adventuresome, moralistic, 3000 year old favourite from a youth mispent by gaming) .

Signifigant Other: I wander the wilds somewhat free, at least in a philosophical sense. Otherwise, I'm as taken as an Eduard Munch picture. A certain nymph called entwined_in_ivy, to name her outright.

Birthday: 31st January, the end of the beginning, if you will.

Zodiac Sign: Aquarius; Dog, if you're going for the Oriental definition; working on the rest

Ethnic Heritage: DEFINITELY Scottish, Irish, bit of Mediterranean, a dash of Scandinavian, but mostly hairy hill man.

Are You Into Paganism or Witchcraft?: I think I accept the truth of everything, more out of the fact that I feel spirituality is a necessity than out of any personal conviction. Man is here for a reason, and sometimes it's up to puzzle.

Hair Colour: Dark brown, almost black, tending to a full beard when it grows, and longer hair that needs hacking through, but I just tend to let it settle, but I DO intend to braid it before my next big battle.

Curly Or Straight?: Straight as the day is long. Tangled after every blasted night.

Eye Colour: I have, and I quote, been described as having eyes "of oak leaf hue, with the bark of their ancient branch". Very drunk, and I have to speak to a poet.

And Gladiator gets a special mention because it's the only film ever to make me cry.

Coffee {Hot, Iced Or Not At All?}: I like my women like I like my coffee. In a plastic cup.

Tea {Hot Or Iced? Herbal? Not at All?}: Earl Grey, when I'm feeling in the need, otherwise boil a bag.

Favourite Food{s}: Roast beef, beer, mead, whisky (Single Malts, mind you!),

Favourite Material{s} {For Clothing}: Wool, steel, linen, hempcloth. On lassies, velvet, silk, and the above.

Pet{s}: Had a maniac cat named Charlie, the only one I know for definite that was mean enough to chase dogs, and a cross collie/jackrussel named Corrie. Both just died recently (aww).

Candles, Incense Or Both?: Candles. I remember my first time in a church, one of the oldest in Britain. Bare stone, new wood, and the sound of a Gregorian chant echoing throughout the halls. So solemn, and yet the light was warm and friendly, the sconces having been just freshly lit. It was for this same reason I started to believe, not in anything definite, but in faith.

What Are Your Passions & Hobbies?: Swords and sorcery, because the world we live in is so much dross sometimes. The equalisers that exist nowhere here, exist everywhere in literature.

Favourite Scent{s}: Bread baking. Ripe plums. Hot steel. That of a lover.

Samhain, All Hallows, call it what you will. This is the ONLY time of year that partying comes naturally.

Air and earth, bizarrely. I've always wanted to be able to fly, but my roots are deep.

Any time I'm awake at, though most fun can be had in the evening.

Favourite Place In Nature {I.E. Forest, Ocean, Mountains}:

Forests, the way they should have been. After learning what my place should have looked like, I can't help but look at open moors without a hint of regret. Rothiemurchus, the plain of the great pine, is probably my favourite place to date.

Depends on what you're doing at the time. I've been both desperately afraid AND awed.

I've battled though many, in several like surrounds. Travelled the country to go to them, and I've had my fair share of invites.

I did want at one time to get a crescent and V rod across my shoulders, but that Idea went with the money to do it.

My home recipes tend to mud-bath, so you do the math.

One of my favourite things, regency dresses. Heaving bosoms are a must. And bustles. Man - full ahead AND astern.

I've been quite literally a butcher, a baker, and a candlestick maker! Also fishmonger, hunting and such: my starting point was doing breakfast bacon in McEwans Export.

I'd consider myself a criminal in any of those eras.

Yes, several times. The last time I woke up hugging a comfy chair in a town three hundred miles from where I started.
